Although CyberSec4Europe doesn’t have a formal relationship with other H2020 projects,  we share information and collaborate with a number, including:

General

  • cyberwatching.eu (“The European watch on cybersecurity & privacy”) is the European observatory of research and innovation in the field of cybersecurity and privacy, funded under the European Commission’s H2020 programme. It addresses the DS-05 call by defining and promoting a pragmatic approach to implement and maintain a Project Hub to monitor R&I initiatives on cybersecurity and privacy for EU, National and Associated Countries projects.

 

  • WISER | Wide-Impact cyber SEcurity Risk framework CYBERWISER.eu is a European initiative that addresses the need for effective, user-friendly environments dedicated to training of professionals in the field of cybersecurity. The project will consider the needs of both private and public end-users, preparing organisations’ response and decision-making processes, especially in the evolving regulatory context, leveraging on state-of-the-art methodologies and tools successfully tested in operational environments and taking the advantage of a rigorous, high-impact validation phase with 3 full-scale pilots, one in academia, and two in critical infrastructures (energy and transport). A clear go-to-market strategy will be implemented to achieve sustainability within 18 months after project completion, owing to the open pilot stream active as part of the CYBERWISER.eu workplan.

Finance/Open Banking

  • Critical-Chains is a three-year research and innovation programme funded with the support of the European Commission Horizon 2020 Programme with a focus on IOT & Blockchain-Enabled Security Framework for Fintech Integrated New Generation Cyber-Physical Systems to support the Financial Sector. The Critical-Chains Consortium represents a strong chemistry of relevant expertise and an inclusive set of stakeholders comprising end-users (customers), CERTS, the financial sector (Banks & CCPs) and the Insurance sector.

 

  • FINSEC is a Security Innovation project co-funded by the European Commission in the scope of the H2020 Programme, whose aims are to develop, demonstrate and bring to market an integrated, collaborative and predictive approach to the security of critical infrastructures in the financial sector. Joining efforts of security experts, IT experts and financial organisations, FINSEC will introduce, implement and validate a novel reference architecture for integrated physical and cyber security of critical infrastructures, which will enable handling of dynamic, advanced and asymmetric attacks, while at the same time boosting financial organisations’ compliance to security standards and regulations.Also, as a result, FINSEC will provide a blueprint for the next generation security systems for the critical infrastructures of the financial sector.

 

  • The FIN-TECH project financed under the EU’s Horizon 2020 funding scheme, builds a fintech risk management platform, which measures risks to make fintech innovations sustainable. A platform that provides shared risk management solutions that automatizes compliance of Fintech companies (RegTech) and, at the same time, increases the efficiency of supervisory activities (SupTech). The main objective of the project will be achieved by creating a knowledge exchange hub which will eventually, in the future, lead to a sandbox research laboratory aimed at developing and testing common fintech risk management models.

 

  • SOTER takes a holistic research approach, combining technological development with human factor-based cybersecurity training. A biometric based identification and authentication digital on-boarding platform will be developed in conjunction with a suite of training materials, designed to enhance information security, data privacy, and cybersecurity practice within the critical financial services sector.

SMEs

cyberGEIGER is a H2020 project that is developing a solution for small businesses to protect themselves against cyber threats – a cybersecurity “Geiger counter”, which dynamically shows the level of current risks for a company, and allows users to take simple measures to lower the risk exposure significantly. GEIGER also aims to build an ecosystem of competent individuals and organisations that offer help, by collaborating with schools and partners to develop a standardised learning programme, the “Certified Security Defenders”.

Standards

  • StandICT.eu 2023 supporting European Experts Presence in International Standardisation Activities in ICT. The European Observatory For ICT Standardisation (EUOS) will constantly monitor the status of ICT Standards at international level, playing his role in building a sustainable ecosystem around ICT standards. The covered areas are: 5G & fixed network/internet, IoT, Cybersecurity, Data Commons, Cloud computing, Quantum Technologies, AI, Blockchain/DLT, Industry 4.0, ITS/automated driving, FinTech/financial services, eHealth.
