Université Toulouse III Paul Sabatier (UPS)

UPS is represented by IRIT (Institut de Recherche en Informatique de Toulouse,Toulouse Institute of Computer Science Research). IRIT has more than 700 members among which 400 researchers and faculty members and is the largest computer science laboratory in France. IRIT researchers belong to one of the following institutions: CNRS (Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique), INPT (Institut National Polytechnique de Toulouse), UPS, UT1 (Université de Toulouse I Capitole) and UT2J (Université de Toulouse Jean Jaurès). All these institutions’ researchers can take part in CyberSEc4Europe, in addition to the ones from UPS. IRIT’s 21 research groups work in seven scientific themes covering most of computer science. Key personnel and groups have long-standing experience in security, privacy, engineering, networks, data analytics, and policy-making, with strong collaboration links with other academic and industrial partners.

With its expertise in theoretical and applied research in digital security, IRIT collaborates with global industrial leaders in, including Thales Communication & Security and Airbus Defence and Space.

IRIT contributes to several workpackages, from developing technical solutions for the demonstration use cases, to community building and road-mapping. Based on the experience of its researchers, IRIT co-leads work on adaptive security and leads on vertical stakeholders engagement and consultation, and participates in clustering and collaboration activities with other cybersecurity projects.
