Work Package 2

Governance Design and Pilot (WP2)

This activity aims to coordinate the research and formative actions tackled by CyberSec4Europe as well as combining technical requirements and empirical best practices to designing the governance structure for the Network; trialing this by, for example, aligning research and teaching competencies across institutions.

The workpackage is designing the governance model for the future “Cybersecurity Competence Network with a European Cybersecurity Research and Competence Centre” (NCCC) by combining three inputs: requirements, empirical best practices and stakeholders’ feedback. The project collects each of these inputs, bringing them together in an integration phase and then implementing and validating them in a pilot. Stakeholders input is going to be instrumental building an initial Governance model which will later be validated. This input is then to be broadened to larger and possibly complementary or conflicting visions of the stakeholders identified from the pilots and will be instrumental in building the second version of the Governance model.

From 25-26 February 2020, Tobias Fiebig and Natalia Kadenko from Delft University of Technology provide an overview on CyberSec4Europe’s work on governance of the proposed cybersecurity competence centre and network.
